فَٱلْيَوْمَ لَا يُؤْخَذُ مِنكُمْ فِدْيَةٌ وَلَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مَأْوَىٰكُمُ ٱلنَّارُ هِىَ مَوْلَىٰكُمْ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ
So today no ransom is taken from you, nor from those who refused. Your resting place is the Fire; it is the one with the better claim on you, and an evil destination. The commentaries gloss the middle clause as the line's sting: the word usually names the one who protects, and here it names what has the strongest hold.
آج کے دن نہ تم سے کوئی فدیہ لیا جائے گا اور نہ کافروں سے، تمہارا ٹھکانا آگ ہے، وہی تمہاری مولا ہے، اور بہت ہی برا ٹھکانا ہے۔ احسن البیان کے مطابق مولیٰ اصل میں اسے کہتے ہیں جو کسی کے کاموں کا ذمہ دار اور نگہبان بنے، تو گویا اب جہنم ہی اس بات کی ذمہ دار ہے کہ انہیں سخت سے سخت عذاب چکھائے۔ بعض مفسرین کے نزدیک مولیٰ اس کو بھی کہتے ہیں جو ہمیشہ ساتھ رہنے والا ہو، یعنی اب جہنم کی آگ ہی ان کی ہمیشہ کی ساتھی ہے۔ تفسیر مقباس کے مطابق یہ کلام مومنوں کے منافقین سے خطاب کا تسلسل بھی ہو سکتا ہے، ملامت اور ندامت دلانے کے انداز میں۔
