إِنَّ ٱلْمُصَّدِّقِينَ وَٱلْمُصَّدِّقَٰتِ وَأَقْرَضُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا يُضَٰعَفُ لَهُمْ وَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ كَرِيمٌ
Those who give in charity, men and women, and lend God a goodly loan - it will be multiplied for them, and they shall have a generous reward. The commentaries note that the word is read two ways, as giving and as holding true, and that the lending is said of both the men and the women even though the Arabic takes the masculine form.
صدقہ دینے والے مرد اور صدقہ دینے والی عورتیں، اور جنہوں نے اللہ کو اچھا قرض دیا، ان کے لیے یہ کئی گنا بڑھایا جائے گا اور ان کے لیے باعزت اجر ہے۔ قرطبی کے مطابق ابن کثیر اور ابوبکر نے عاصم سے تخفیف صاد کے ساتھ پڑھا ہے، یعنی تصدیق کرنے والے، اور باقی قراء نے تشدید کے ساتھ پڑھا، یعنی صدقہ دینے والے۔ زمخشری وضاحت کرتے ہیں کہ لفظ مصدقین دراصل صدقہ دینے والوں اور اللہ و رسول کی تصدیق کرنے والوں دونوں کو شامل ہے، اور یہ بھی بتاتے ہیں کہ اقرضوا کا عطف مصدقین کے معنیٰ فعل پر ہے۔ تفسیر مقباس کے نزدیک یہ آیت مدنی معلوم ہوتی ہے اور معنیٰ کے اعتبار سے پیچھے کی آیت من ذا الذی یقرض اللہ سے جڑی ہوئی ہے۔
