لَّن تُغْنِىَ عَنْهُمْ أَمْوَٰلُهُمْ وَلَآ أَوْلَٰدُهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ
Their wealth will not avail them anything against God, nor their children. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will stay in it. The commentaries note the two things named are exactly what such a man counts on, and that the āyah does not say they are worthless but that they will not reach where he needs them to reach.
قیامت کے دن اللہ کے عذاب کے سامنے نہ ان کا مال اور نہ ان کی اولاد انہیں کچھ فائدہ دے سکے گی۔ یہی لوگ آگ والے ہیں جو ہمیشہ اس میں رہیں گے۔ مفسرین نے واضح کیا ہے کہ یہ دونوں نعمتیں بالکل وہی ہیں جن پر ایسا شخص بھروسا کرتا ہے، اور یہ کہ آیت یہ نہیں کہتی کہ یہ بے قیمت ہیں بلکہ یہ کہ وہ وہاں نہیں پہنچ سکیں گی جہاں اسے ان کی ضرورت ہوگی۔
