يَوْمَ يَبْعَثُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ جَمِيعًا فَيَحْلِفُونَ لَهُۥ كَمَا يَحْلِفُونَ لَكُمْ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ أَلَآ إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ ٱلْكَٰذِبُونَ
On the day God raises them all together, they will swear to Him as they swear to you, and think they have something to stand on. Is it not they who are the liars? The commentaries put the weight on the thinking: the habit has gone so deep that they carry it to a place where nothing is hidden, and expect it to work there too.
اس دن کو یاد کرو جب اللہ ان منافقوں کو سب کو ان کی قبروں سے اٹھائے گا، تو وہ اللہ کے سامنے بھی اسی طرح جھوٹی قسمیں کھائیں گے جیسے دنیا میں تمہارے سامنے کھاتے تھے، اور یہ گمان کریں گے کہ اس قسم سے انہیں کوئی فائدہ ہوگا۔ خبردار! یہی لوگ حقیقت میں جھوٹے ہیں۔ مفسرین نے اسی گمان پر زور دیا ہے، یعنی جھوٹی قسم کھانے کی عادت ان میں اتنی گہری ہو چکی تھی کہ وہ اسے ایسی جگہ بھی لے گئے جہاں کچھ چھپا نہیں رہتا، اور توقع کی کہ وہاں بھی یہ ان کے کام آئے گی۔
