بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ
Everything in the heavens and everything in the earth glorifies God, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. The commentaries read the opening as covering all things without exception, and gloss the two names against the account that follows: mighty in His dominion and wise in how He works, which is what the rest of the sura is about to show in one episode.
آسمانوں میں جو کچھ ہے اور زمین میں جو کچھ ہے، سب اللہ کی تسبیح کرتا ہے، اور وہی زبردست اور بڑی حکمت والا ہے۔ مفسرین اس آغاز کو بغیر کسی استثنا کے ہر چیز پر محیط سمجھتے ہیں، اور ان دونوں ناموں کی وضاحت آگے آنے والے واقعے کی روشنی میں کرتے ہیں: اپنی سلطنت میں زبردست، اور اپنے کام کرنے کے انداز میں حکمت والا، اور یہی وہ چیز ہے جسے باقی سورت ایک واقعے کی صورت میں ابھی دکھانے والی ہے۔
