لِلْفُقَرَآءِ ٱلْمُهَٰجِرِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُخْرِجُوا۟ مِن دِيَٰرِهِمْ وَأَمْوَٰلِهِمْ يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضْوَٰنًا وَيَنصُرُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥٓ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلصَّٰدِقُونَ
For the poor among the emigrants who were driven from their homes and their property, seeking bounty from God and His good pleasure, and helping God and His Messenger. Those are the truthful ones. The commentaries note that the word truthful is the verdict on the claim they made: they had said they believed, and leaving home and property behind is what made the saying true.
یہ مال ان فقیر مہاجرین کے لیے ہے جنہیں ان کے گھروں اور ان کے مال سے نکال دیا گیا، جو اللہ کا فضل اور اس کی رضا چاہتے ہیں، اور اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی مدد کرتے ہیں۔ یہی سچے لوگ ہیں۔ مفسرین نوٹ کرتے ہیں کہ لفظ سچے دراصل ان کے اس دعوے پر فیصلہ ہے: انہوں نے کہا تھا کہ وہ ایمان لائے ہیں، اور گھر اور مال کو پیچھے چھوڑ دینا ہی اس بات کو سچا کر گیا۔
