وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَمٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَأَخَذْنَٰهُم بِٱلْبَأْسَآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَضَرَّعُونَ
We sent messengers to communities before you, and We seized them with hardship and affliction, so that they might humble themselves.
اور بےشک ہم نے آپ سے پہلے بہت سی امتوں کی طرف رسول بھیجے، پھر ہم نے انہیں تنگی اور تکلیف میں پکڑ لیا، تاکہ وہ عاجزی اختیار کریں اور اپنے رب کی طرف جھک جائیں۔
