أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٍ مَّكَّنَّٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّن لَّكُمْ وَأَرْسَلْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ عَلَيْهِم مِّدْرَارًا وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرَ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَنشَأْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا ءَاخَرِينَ
Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them, whom We had established in the land as We have not established you, and We sent the sky upon them in abundant rain and made the rivers run beneath them? Then We destroyed them for their sins and raised up another generation after them.
کیا انہوں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ ہم نے ان سے پہلے کتنی ہی نسلوں کو ہلاک کیا، جنہیں ہم نے زمین میں ایسی مضبوطی دی تھی جو تمہیں نہیں دی؟ اور ہم نے ان پر آسمان سے موسلادھار بارش بھیجی اور نہریں ان کے نیچے بہا دیں۔ پھر ہم نے انہیں ان کے گناہوں کی وجہ سے ہلاک کر دیا اور ان کے بعد ایک اور نسل پیدا کی۔
