بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلْمَلِكِ ٱلْقُدُّوسِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ
Everything in the heavens and the earth declares God free of every imperfection, and the word used takes in the whole of creation, not only those who can speak. Four names follow: the Sovereign; the Holy, meaning the One held far above all that does not befit Him; the Mighty in His dominion; and the Wise in His making.
آسمانوں اور زمین میں جو کچھ ہے وہ اللہ کی تسبیح کرتا ہے، وہ بادشاہ ہے، نہایت پاک ہے، زبردست ہے، حکمت والا ہے۔ قرطبی لکھتے ہیں کہ سورۃ الجمعہ مدنی ہے اور اس کی گیارہ آیات ہیں، اور صحیح مسلم میں ابوہریرہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ سب سے بہتر دن جس پر سورج طلوع ہوا وہ جمعہ کا دن ہے۔ ابن کثیر لکھتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نماز جمعہ میں سورۃ الجمعہ اور سورۃ المنافقون پڑھا کرتے تھے۔ علامہ سعدی وضاحت کرتے ہیں کہ اللہ کی تسبیح اور اس کے حکم کی اطاعت اور اس کی عبادت آسمانوں اور زمین کی سب چیزیں کرتی ہیں، کیونکہ وہ کامل بادشاہ ہے جس کی بالائی اور زیریں دونوں جہانوں کی بادشاہی ہے۔
