هُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ لَا تُنفِقُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَنْ عِندَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ حَتَّىٰ يَنفَضُّوا۟ وَلِلَّهِ خَزَآئِنُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ
They tell their own people not to spend on the men around God's messenger, so that those men will disperse for want of support — the commentaries name the intended targets as the emigrants, who had arrived with nothing. The answer is that the treasuries of the heavens and the earth belong to God: He is the one providing, and the supply they imagine they control was never theirs to withhold.
یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جو کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ کے پاس رہنے والوں پر خرچ نہ کرو یہاں تک کہ وہ منتشر ہو جائیں، حالانکہ آسمانوں اور زمین کے خزانے اللہ ہی کے پاس ہیں، مگر منافق سمجھتے نہیں۔ قرطبی لکھتے ہیں کہ ابن ابی نے کہا: محمد کے پاس رہنے والوں پر خرچ نہ کرو یہاں تک کہ وہ اس سے الگ ہو جائیں، تو اللہ نے انہیں بتا دیا کہ آسمانوں اور زمین کے خزانے اسی کے پاس ہیں۔ زمخشری روایت نقل کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے جب بنو مصطلق کا مقابلہ مریسیع کے مقام پر کیا اور انہیں شکست دی، تو پانی پر جھجاہ بن سعید، جو عمر کا ایک ملازم تھا اور اپنا گھوڑا لے جا رہا تھا، اور سنان جہنی، جو عبداللہ بن ابی کا حلیف تھا، آپس میں دھکم پیل ہوئی، پھر لڑ پڑے، تو جھجاہ نے پکارا: اے مہاجرین! علامہ سعدی لکھتے ہیں کہ یہ ان کی نبی ﷺ اور مسلمانوں سے شدید دشمنی کا اظہار تھا۔
