وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ فَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَىٰ رَسُولِنَا ٱلْبَلَٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ
Obey God and obey the messenger. If you turn away, none of that falls on him: what is laid on the messenger is only to convey the message plainly, and the commentaries add that he has conveyed it.
اور اللہ کی اطاعت کرو اور رسول کی اطاعت کرو، پھر اگر تم منہ موڑو تو ہمارے رسول پر صرف واضح طور پر پہنچا دینا ہے۔ زمخشری وضاحت کرتے ہیں کہ فان تولیتم کا مطلب ہے اگر تم منہ موڑو تو رسول پر کوئی ملامت نہیں، کیونکہ تمہاری اطاعت اس پر فرض نہیں کی گئی، اسے صرف پہنچانے اور واضح کرنے کا حکم دیا گیا ہے۔ تفسیر مقباس اس آیت کو پچھلی آیت ومن یؤمن باللہ یہد قلبہ پر عطف قرار دیتی ہے، کیونکہ اس میں یہ بات شامل تھی کہ مومن اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی اطاعت کے لیے تیار ہیں۔
