خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَصَوَّرَكُمْ فَأَحْسَنَ صُوَرَكُمْ وَإِلَيْهِ ٱلْمَصِيرُ
He created the heavens and the earth in truth — which the commentaries read against its opposite, a creation made in play or with no settled purpose. He shaped you and made your shapes good, the human form being made the best of forms; the shaping belongs to Him alone, which is why the Shaper is one of His names. And to Him is the journey's end.
اس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو حق کے ساتھ پیدا کیا، اور تمہیں صورت دی اور تمہاری صورتیں اچھی بنائیں، اور اسی کی طرف لوٹنا ہے۔ طبری کے مطابق خلق السموات والارض بالحق کا مطلب ہے کہ اللہ نے سات آسمان اور زمین کو عدل اور انصاف کے ساتھ پیدا کیا، اور صورکم کا مطلب ہے تمہیں شکل دی اور تمہاری شکل کو اچھا بنایا۔ قرطبی بتاتے ہیں کہ بالحق کا مطلب ہے یقین کے ساتھ، بغیر کسی شک کے، اور بعض کہتے ہیں کہ باء لام کے معنیٰ میں ہے، یعنی اسے حق کے لیے پیدا کیا۔ تفسیر مقباس اس آیت کو پچھلی آیت فمنکم کافر ومنکم مؤمن سے پیدا ہونے والا ایک وضاحتی جملہ قرار دیتی ہے، جو یہ واضح کرتا ہے کہ ان کا دو گروہوں میں بٹنا کسی نقص کا نتیجہ نہیں۔
