قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَهْلَكَنِىَ ٱللَّهُ وَمَن مَّعِىَ أَوْ رَحِمَنَا فَمَن يُجِيرُ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
Say: whether God destroys me and those with me, or has mercy on us — who will shelter those who refuse from a painful punishment? The commentaries read it as one answer to those who waited for the Prophet's death: his fate, either way, gains them nothing.
کہہ دیجیے: ذرا بتاؤ، اگر اللہ مجھے اور میرے ساتھیوں کو ہلاک کر دے، یا ہم پر رحم فرمائے، تو کافروں کو دردناک عذاب سے کون پناہ دے گا؟ یعنی ہمارے انجام سے تمہیں کچھ حاصل نہ ہوگا، تم اپنی فکر کرو۔
