وَٱلْمَلَكُ عَلَىٰٓ أَرْجَآئِهَا وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمَٰنِيَةٌ
And the angels are on its edges, and eight bear the Throne of your Lord above them that Day. The commentaries agree the number is given as eight for that Day, whether of angels or of ranks of them.
اور فرشتے اس کے کناروں پر ہوں گے، اور آٹھ فرشتے اس دن تمہارے رب کے عرش کو اپنے اوپر اٹھائے ہوں گے۔ مفسرین اس بات پر متفق ہیں کہ یہ آٹھ کی تعداد خاص اسی دن کے لیے دی گئی ہے، چاہے وہ آٹھ فرشتے ہوں یا فرشتوں کی آٹھ صفیں۔
