قَالُوا۟ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِمَّآ أَن تُلْقِىَ وَإِمَّآ أَن نَّكُونَ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُلْقِينَ
They said: Moses, will you throw, or shall we be the ones to throw? The commentaries read the offer as courtesy: they gave him the first turn, and the commentaries note he let them go first instead.
