فَغُلِبُوا۟ هُنَالِكَ وَٱنقَلَبُوا۟ صَٰغِرِينَ
So they were beaten there and turned back humbled. The commentaries note where the defeat fell: on Pharaoh and his people, in the place and at the hour they had chosen themselves.
