قَالَ إِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنظَرِينَ
He said: you are among those given respite. The commentaries read the answer against the request: the delay was granted, but to a term God names elsewhere, not to the Day he had asked for.
اللہ نے فرمایا: تجھے مہلت دے دی گئی ہے۔ مفسرین اس جواب کو اس کی درخواست کے مقابلے میں دیکھتے ہیں: مہلت تو مل گئی، مگر اس وقت تک نہیں جو اس نے مانگا تھا، بلکہ اس معلوم وقت تک جس کا ذکر اللہ نے کہیں اور فرمایا ہے۔
