ثُمَّ لَـَٔاتِيَنَّهُم مِّنۢ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ وَعَنْ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ وَعَن شَمَآئِلِهِمْ وَلَا تَجِدُ أَكْثَرَهُمْ شَٰكِرِينَ
Then I will come at them from in front of them and from behind them, and from their right and from their left; and You will not find most of them thankful. The commentaries take the four sides together as one meaning: from every direction a man can be approached.
پھر میں ضرور ان کے پاس ان کے آگے سے اور ان کے پیچھے سے، اور ان کے دائیں سے اور ان کے بائیں سے آؤں گا، اور تو ان میں سے اکثر کو شکر گزار نہیں پائے گا۔ مفسرین ان چاروں سمتوں کو ایک ہی معنی میں لیتے ہیں: میں انسان تک ہر ممکن راستے اور ہر طرف سے پہنچنے کی کوشش کروں گا، جیسے دشمن اپنے دشمن پر ہر سمت سے حملہ کرتا ہے۔
