وَإِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِنۢ بَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ مِن ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَأَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ أَلَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ شَهِدْنَآ أَن تَقُولُوا۟ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ إِنَّا كُنَّا عَنْ هَٰذَا غَٰفِلِينَ
And when your Lord brought out from the Children of Adam, from their backs, their offspring, and made them bear witness about themselves: am I not your Lord? They said: yes, we bear witness. So that you would not say on the Day of Resurrection: we were unaware of this;
اور یاد کرو جب تمہارے رب نے بنی آدم کی پیٹھوں سے ان کی اولاد کو نکالا اور انہیں خود ان کی جانوں پر گواہ بنایا: کیا میں تمہارا رب نہیں ہوں؟ انہوں نے کہا: کیوں نہیں، ہم گواہی دیتے ہیں۔ یہ اس لیے تھا کہ تم قیامت کے دن یہ نہ کہو کہ ہم تو اس سے بےخبر تھے۔
