هُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَٰحِدَةٍ وَجَعَلَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا لِيَسْكُنَ إِلَيْهَا فَلَمَّا تَغَشَّىٰهَا حَمَلَتْ حَمْلًا خَفِيفًا فَمَرَّتْ بِهِۦ فَلَمَّآ أَثْقَلَت دَّعَوَا ٱللَّهَ رَبَّهُمَا لَئِنْ ءَاتَيْتَنَا صَٰلِحًا لَّنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ
He is the One who created you from a single soul and made from it its mate, so that he might find rest in her. Then when he covered her she carried a light burden and went about with it; and when she grew heavy the two of them called on God their Lord: if You give us a sound child, we will be among the thankful.
وہی ہے جس نے تمہیں ایک جان سے پیدا کیا اور اسی سے اس کا جوڑا بنایا تاکہ وہ اس کے پاس سکون پائے۔ پھر جب اس نے اسے ڈھانپا تو اسے ہلکا سا حمل ہوا اور وہ اس کے ساتھ چلتی پھرتی رہی، پھر جب بوجھ بھاری ہو گیا تو دونوں نے اپنے رب اللہ سے دعا کی: اگر تو نے ہمیں ایک صحیح سالم بچہ دیا تو ہم ضرور شکر گزار ہوں گے۔
