وَإِن تَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰ لَا يَسْمَعُوا۟ وَتَرَىٰهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَيْكَ وَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ
And if you call the idols to guidance they do not hear you; and you see them facing you as though looking, but they do not see. The commentaries note that the eyes were carved to resemble a person's - the likeness is made, the sight is not.
اور اگر تم انہیں ہدایت کی طرف بلاؤ تو وہ سنتے ہی نہیں، اور تم انہیں دیکھو گے کہ وہ گویا تمہاری طرف دیکھ رہے ہیں مگر حقیقت میں وہ کچھ نہیں دیکھتے۔ مفسرین بتاتے ہیں کہ ان کی آنکھیں انسان کی مانند تراشی گئی تھیں: صورت بنائی گئی، دیکھنا نہیں دیا گیا۔
