يَٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ قَدْ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ لِبَاسًا يُوَٰرِى سَوْءَٰتِكُمْ وَرِيشًا وَلِبَاسُ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ
Children of Adam, We have sent down on you clothing to cover your nakedness, and fine adornment; but the clothing of mindfulness of God is better. That is of God's signs, so that they may remember.
اے بنی آدم! ہم نے تمہارے لیے ایک لباس اتارا ہے جو تمہاری شرمگاہیں چھپاتا ہے، اور ایک لباس زینت اور خوبصورتی کے لیے بھی، لیکن تقویٰ کا لباس ان سب سے بہتر ہے۔ یہ اللہ کی نشانیوں میں سے ایک نشانی ہے، تاکہ لوگ نصیحت اور یاد دہانی حاصل کریں۔
