قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوٓا۟ إِنَّا بِٱلَّذِىٓ ءَامَنتُم بِهِۦ كَٰفِرُونَ
Those who were arrogant said: we refuse what you believe in. The commentaries set the two answers side by side: those thought weak said they believed, and the great ones answered by refusing the very thing.
جن لوگوں نے تکبر کیا تھا انہوں نے کہا: ہم تو اس چیز کے منکر ہیں جس پر تم ایمان لائے ہو۔ مفسرین دونوں جوابوں کو آمنے سامنے رکھتے ہیں: جنہیں کمزور سمجھا گیا تھا انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم ایمان لائے، اور بڑے لوگوں نے جواب میں اسی چیز کا صاف انکار کر دیا۔
