وَقَدْ أَضَلُّوا۟ كَثِيرًا وَلَا تَزِدِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا ضَلَٰلًا
And they led many astray. And do not increase the wrongdoers in anything but error — the commentaries agree the last clause is Noah's, said after he was told that none of his people would believe beyond those who had.
اور انہوں نے بہت سوں کو گمراہ کر دیا، اور اے اللہ! ظالموں کو گمراہی کے سوا کچھ نہ بڑھا۔ تفسیر مقباس کے مطابق یہ آیت وقالوا لا تذرن آلھتکم پر عطف ہے، یعنی انہوں نے اس قول اور شرک کی دیگر رسموں سے قوم کی اکثریت کو گمراہ کر دیا، یہاں تک کہ نوح کے ساتھ بہت کم لوگ ہی ایمان لائے۔
