يَغْفِرْ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى إِنَّ أَجَلَ ٱللَّهِ إِذَا جَآءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُ لَوْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
He will forgive you your sins and defer you to a stated term. When God's term comes it is not deferred, if only you knew — the commentaries agree the respite is real but bounded, and the boundary does not move.
وہ تمہارے کچھ گناہ بخش دے گا اور تمہیں ایک مقررہ مدت تک مہلت دے گا، بےشک اللہ کی مدت جب آ جائے تو مؤخر نہیں کی جاتی، کاش تم جانتے۔ تفسیر مقباس کے مطابق یغفر لکم من ذنوبکم پہلے پہل شرک کے گناہوں کی طرف مڑتا ہے، اعتقاد اور عمل دونوں میں۔
