ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ
then went off to his people, swaggering. The commentaries agree the three describe the same man, and that the strutting is what he did after refusing.
پھر وہ اکڑتا ہوا اپنے گھر والوں کے پاس چلا گیا۔ تفسیر مقباس کے مطابق یتمطی کا مطلب ہے مطیطاء کی چال چلنا، یعنی اکڑ کر چلنا۔ اس کی اصل یتمطط ہے، یعنی خود کو کھینچنا، کیونکہ اکڑ کر چلنے والا اپنے قدم لمبے کرتا ہے، اور یہ خود پسند شخص کی چال ہے۔
