وَجَزَىٰهُم بِمَا صَبَرُوا۟ جَنَّةً وَحَرِيرًا
and rewarded them, for their patience, with a Garden and with silk — patience, the commentaries gloss, held under what was asked of them and against what they were tempted by.
اور انہیں ان کے صبر کے بدلے جنت اور ریشم عطا کیا۔ قرطبی وضاحت کرتے ہیں کہ انہیں ان کے فقر پر صبر کا بدلہ دیا۔ قرظی کہتے ہیں روزے پر صبر کا، عطاء کہتے ہیں تین دن کی بھوک پر صبر کا جو نذر کے دن ہیں، اور بعض کہتے ہیں اللہ کی اطاعت پر ان کے صبر کا۔
