فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَٱلْأُولَىٰٓ
So God seized him as an example, for the last word and the first. The commentaries agree the two sayings are meant, and that he was destroyed for both.
