إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِرَ ٱللَّهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَإِذَا تُلِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَٰتُهُۥ زَادَتْهُمْ إِيمَٰنًا وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ
The believers are those whose hearts tremble when God is mentioned, whose faith increases when His signs are recited to them, and who place their trust in their Lord and in no one else. The increase spoken of here is in the strength of the faith, not in the number of the faithful.
سچے مومنوں کی یہ صفت ہے کہ جب اللہ کا ذکر کیا جاتا ہے تو ان کے دل ڈر سے کانپ اٹھتے ہیں، اور جب اس کی آیات ان کے سامنے پڑھی جاتی ہیں تو ان کا ایمان اور بڑھ جاتا ہے، اور وہ صرف اپنے رب ہی پر بھروسا کرتے ہیں، کسی اور پر نہیں۔ یہاں اضافے سے مراد ایمان کی مضبوطی اور یقین میں اضافہ ہے، نہ کہ مومنوں کی تعداد میں اضافہ۔
