وَٱتَّقُوا۟ فِتْنَةً لَّا تُصِيبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مِنكُمْ خَآصَّةً وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ
Guard yourselves against a trial that will not fall on the wrongdoers among you alone, but will reach them and others with them. The commentaries agree on how it is guarded against: by refusing to stay silent about what is wrong. And know that God is severe in punishment.
اس فتنے اور عذاب سے بچو جو نازل ہونے کی صورت میں صرف تم میں سے ظالموں ہی کو نہیں پکڑے گا بلکہ ان کے ساتھ دوسروں کو بھی لپیٹ میں لے لے گا جو خاموش رہے۔ مفسرین کا اس بات پر اتفاق ہے کہ اس فتنے سے بچاؤ کا راستہ یہ ہے کہ برائی کو دیکھ کر خاموش نہ بیٹھا جائے بلکہ اسے روکا جائے۔ اور جان لو کہ اللہ سخت سزا دینے والا ہے۔
