يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَخُونُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلرَّسُولَ وَتَخُونُوٓا۟ أَمَٰنَٰتِكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
You who believe, do not betray God and the Messenger, and do not betray what has been placed in your keeping, knowing what you do. The commentaries carry the occasion together: a man sent to the Jewish tribe under siege, asked by them what the Prophet's judgement would be, gave them a sign that it was slaughter, because his family and his property were among them.
اے ایمان والو! اللہ اور اس کے رسول کے ساتھ خیانت نہ کرو، اور اپنی امانتوں میں بھی خیانت نہ کرو جبکہ تم جانتے ہو کہ یہ خیانت ہے۔ روایات میں مل کر یہ بیان ہوا ہے کہ ایک آدمی کو محصور یہودیوں کے قبیلے بنو قریظہ کی طرف بھیجا گیا، انہوں نے اس سے پوچھا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ان کے بارے میں کیا فیصلہ کریں گے، تو اس نے ہاتھ سے گلے کی طرف اشارہ کر دیا کہ فیصلہ قتل کا ہوگا، کیونکہ اس کا خاندان اور مال ان کے درمیان تھا اور وہ ان کی خاطر ڈر گیا۔
