وَقَٰتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّىٰ لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ ٱلدِّينُ كُلُّهُۥ لِلَّهِ فَإِنِ ٱنتَهَوْا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
And fight them until there is no more persecution and religion belongs entirely to God. The commentaries gloss the word here as the setting up of partners with God itself, the thing out of which the persecution came. And if they stop, God sees what they do.
ان مشرکوں سے اس وقت تک لڑو جب تک فتنہ باقی نہ رہے اور دین پورا کا پورا صرف اللہ ہی کے لیے ہو جائے۔ مفسرین نے یہاں فتنے کی تفسیر شرک سے کی ہے، کیونکہ یہی وہ شرک تھا جس کی وجہ سے مومنوں پر ظلم اور ان کا دین سے پھیرنا ہوتا تھا۔ پھر اگر وہ باز آ جائیں تو اللہ ان کے اعمال کو خوب دیکھنے والا ہے اور وہ انہیں اس کا بدلہ دے گا۔
