وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَا غَنِمْتُم مِّن شَىْءٍ فَأَنَّ لِلَّهِ خُمُسَهُۥ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْيَتَٰمَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينِ وَٱبْنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ إِن كُنتُمْ ءَامَنتُم بِٱللَّهِ وَمَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَىٰ عَبْدِنَا يَوْمَ ٱلْفُرْقَانِ يَوْمَ ٱلْتَقَى ٱلْجَمْعَانِ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Know that whatever you take as gains in war, a fifth of it belongs to God and to the Messenger, and to the near kin, the orphans, the needy and the traveller, if you believe in God and in what We sent down to Our servant on the Day of the Criterion, the day the two hosts met. And God has power over everything.
جان لو کہ جنگ میں جو مالِ غنیمت تمہیں ملے اس کا پانچواں حصہ اللہ کے لیے ہے جو مسلمانوں کی مصلحت میں خرچ ہوگا، اور رسول کے لیے، اور قرابت داروں یعنی بنو ہاشم اور بنو مطلب کے لیے، اور یتیموں، مسکینوں اور مسافروں کے لیے ہے، بشرطیکہ تم اللہ پر اور اس چیز پر ایمان رکھتے ہو جو ہم نے اپنے بندے پر بدر کے دن یعنی فرقان کے دن نازل کی، جس دن دونوں لشکر آپس میں ٹکرائے۔ اور اللہ ہر چیز پر پوری قدرت رکھنے والا ہے۔
