وَأَعِدُّوا۟ لَهُم مَّا ٱسْتَطَعْتُم مِّن قُوَّةٍ وَمِن رِّبَاطِ ٱلْخَيْلِ تُرْهِبُونَ بِهِۦ عَدُوَّ ٱللَّهِ وَعَدُوَّكُمْ وَءَاخَرِينَ مِن دُونِهِمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُهُمْ وَمَا تُنفِقُوا۟ مِن شَىْءٍ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ يُوَفَّ إِلَيْكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تُظْلَمُونَ
Prepare against them whatever strength you can, and horses kept tethered and ready, to put fear into the enemy of God and your enemy, and into others besides them whom you do not know but God knows. Whatever you spend in the way of God will be paid back to you in full, and you will not be wronged. Both traditions carry the same word from the Prophet on what the strength is: it is shooting.
اور دشمنوں کے مقابلے کے لیے جتنی طاقت تم جمع کر سکو جمع کرو، اور جہاد کے لیے تیار بندھے ہوئے گھوڑے بھی، تاکہ تم اس تیاری سے اللہ کے دشمن اور اپنے دشمن کو، اور ان کے علاوہ ان لوگوں کو بھی خوفزدہ کرو جنہیں تم نہیں جانتے لیکن اللہ انہیں خوب جانتا ہے۔ اور تم جو کچھ اللہ کی راہ میں خرچ کرو گے وہ تمہیں پورا پورا لوٹا دیا جائے گا اور تم پر ظلم نہ ہوگا۔ دونوں روایتوں میں یہ بات مل کر آئی ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہاں قوت کی تفسیر تیر اندازی سے فرمائی۔
