يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ حَرِّضِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَى ٱلْقِتَالِ إِن يَكُن مِّنكُمْ عِشْرُونَ صَٰبِرُونَ يَغْلِبُوا۟ مِا۟ئَتَيْنِ وَإِن يَكُن مِّنكُم مِّا۟ئَةٌ يَغْلِبُوٓا۟ أَلْفًا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَفْقَهُونَ
Prophet, urge the believers to fight. If there are twenty of you who are patient they will overcome two hundred, and if there are a hundred of you they will overcome a thousand of those who refuse, because they are a people who do not understand: they fight without reckoning on any reward, so they do not hold their ground as the believers hold theirs.
اے نبی! مومنوں کو جہاد پر ابھاریں اور انہیں ترغیب دیں۔ اگر تم میں سے بیس ثابت قدم آدمی ہوں تو وہ دو سو پر غالب آ جائیں گے، اور اگر تم میں سے سو ہوں تو وہ ہزار کافروں پر غالب آ جائیں گے، کیونکہ کافر لوگ ایسی قوم ہیں جو حقیقت نہیں سمجھتے اور نہ اللہ سے کسی اجر کی امید رکھتے ہیں، اس لیے وہ اس طرح ثابت قدم نہیں رہتے جیسے مومن اجر کی طلب میں ثابت قدم رہتے ہیں۔
