مَا كَانَ لِنَبِىٍّ أَن يَكُونَ لَهُۥٓ أَسْرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ يُثْخِنَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ تُرِيدُونَ عَرَضَ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱللَّهُ يُرِيدُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ
It is not for a prophet to hold captives until he has subdued the land, breaking the strength of the refusal by open fighting and making the faith strong. You want the fleeting gain of this world and God wants the next for you. God is Mighty, Wise.
کسی نبی کے شایان شان نہ تھا کہ وہ دشمنوں سے قیدی بنائے جب تک زمین میں خوب خونریزی نہ کر لے اور کفر کی طاقت کو نہ توڑ دے اور اسلام کو مضبوط نہ کر لے۔ تم لوگ اس فانی دنیا کا مال یعنی فدیہ چاہتے ہو، جبکہ اللہ تمہارے لیے باقی رہنے والی آخرت چاہتا ہے۔ اور اللہ زبردست غالب اور اپنی حکمت میں کامل ہے۔
