إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَهَاجَرُوا۟ وَجَٰهَدُوا۟ بِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَاوَوا۟ وَّنَصَرُوٓا۟ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَلَمْ يُهَاجِرُوا۟ مَا لَكُم مِّن وَلَٰيَتِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍ حَتَّىٰ يُهَاجِرُوا۟ وَإِنِ ٱسْتَنصَرُوكُمْ فِى ٱلدِّينِ فَعَلَيْكُمُ ٱلنَّصْرُ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍۭ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُم مِّيثَٰقٌ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
Those who believed and emigrated and struggled with their wealth and their lives in the way of God, and those who gave them shelter and helped them, are protectors of one another. As for those who believed but did not emigrate, you owe them no protection until they emigrate; but if they ask you for help in the matter of religion, then help is owed, unless it is against a people you have a treaty with. God sees what you do.
بیشک جن لوگوں نے ایمان لا کر ہجرت کی اور اپنے مال اور جان سے اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کیا یعنی مہاجرین، اور جن لوگوں نے ان مہاجرین کو مدینے میں ٹھکانہ دیا اور ان کی مدد کی یعنی انصار، یہ سب آپس میں ایک دوسرے کے مددگار اور وارث ہیں جیسا کہ ابتدائے اسلام میں تھا۔ اور جو لوگ ایمان تو لائے لیکن ہجرت نہ کی، ان کی حمایت اور مدد تم پر اس وقت تک لازم نہیں جب تک وہ ہجرت نہ کریں، ہاں اگر وہ دین کے معاملے میں تم سے مدد مانگیں تو ان کی مدد کرنا تم پر واجب ہے، سوائے اس قوم کے خلاف جس سے تمہارا معاہدہ ہو۔ اور اللہ تمہارے تمام اعمال کو خوب دیکھنے والا ہے۔
