إِذْ تَسْتَغِيثُونَ رَبَّكُمْ فَٱسْتَجَابَ لَكُمْ أَنِّى مُمِدُّكُم بِأَلْفٍ مِّنَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ مُرْدِفِينَ
When you called on your Lord for help and He answered you: I am reinforcing you with a thousand of the angels, following one behind another. The commentaries carry the occasion together: seeing how few they were against how many, the Prophet faced the qibla and kept calling on God with his hands outstretched, until his cloak fell from his shoulders.
جب تم نے اپنے رب سے مدد مانگی تو اس نے تمہاری دعا قبول فرمائی اور فرمایا کہ میں تمہاری مدد ایک ہزار فرشتوں سے کروں گا جو ایک دوسرے کے پیچھے اتریں گے۔ روایات میں مل کر یہ بیان ہوا ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے جب اپنے ساتھیوں کی کمی اور دشمن کی کثرت دیکھی تو قبلہ رخ ہو کر ہاتھ پھیلا کر دعا مانگتے رہے، یہاں تک کہ آپ کی چادر آپ کے کندھوں سے گر پڑی۔
