بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ
Woe to those who give short measure — the word, the commentaries note, is one of threat, and some take it as a place in Hell.
ہلاکت ہے ناپ تول میں کمی کرنے والوں کے لیے۔ ”تطفیف“ کے معنی ماپ یا تول میں واجب سے کم دینا ہے، اور اسے یہ نام اس لیے دیا گیا کہ اس میں چرائی جانے والی مقدار بہت تھوڑی ہوتی ہے — مگر اس تھوڑے پر بھی یہ سخت وعید ہے۔
