لَّسْتَ عَلَيْهِم بِمُصَيْطِرٍ
You are not set over them to compel. The commentaries agree the reminding is what he was charged with, and that belief was never his to force.
”مُصَیْطِر“ اُس کو کہتے ہیں جو زبردستی منوانے والا اور مسلط ہو۔ یعنی آپ ﷺ کو ان پر داروغہ بنا کر نہیں بھیجا گیا کہ انہیں ایمان پر مجبور کریں۔ دلوں کا پھیرنا اور توفیق دینا اللہ ہی کا کام ہے؛ آپ کے ذمے صرف پہنچا دینا ہے۔
