فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَكْبَرَ
God will punish him with the greatest punishment — the greatest, the commentaries gloss, being the punishment of the Hereafter beside that of this world.
تو اللہ اسے سب سے بڑا عذاب دے گا، یعنی جہنم کا نہ ختم ہونے والا عذاب۔ ”اَکْبَر“ اس لیے کہا کہ دنیا کی ہر تکلیف اور سزا اس کے سامنے چھوٹی ہے۔ حق پوری طرح واضح ہو جانے کے بعد بھی منہ موڑنے والا اسی انجام کا مستحق ہے۔
