هَلْ فِى ذَٰلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِّذِى حِجْرٍ
Is there in that an oath for one who has sense? The commentaries gloss the word as understanding, and read the question as saying that the oath is enough for anyone who has it.
”حِجْر“ عقل کو کہتے ہیں، اس لیے کہ وہ انسان کو نامناسب کاموں سے روکتی اور باز رکھتی ہے۔ سوال یہاں اقرار کے لیے ہے: یعنی ان قسموں میں ہر صاحبِ عقل کے لیے کافی سامان ہے۔ قسم کا جواب یہاں حذف ہے، جس پر آگے آنے والا سرکش قوموں کی ہلاکت کا بیان دلالت کرتا ہے۔
