وَمَا كَانَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ لِيَنفِرُوا۟ كَآفَّةً فَلَوْلَا نَفَرَ مِن كُلِّ فِرْقَةٍ مِّنْهُمْ طَآئِفَةٌ لِّيَتَفَقَّهُوا۟ فِى ٱلدِّينِ وَلِيُنذِرُوا۟ قَوْمَهُمْ إِذَا رَجَعُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَحْذَرُونَ
And the believers should not all go out together. A party from each group among them should go, so that they may gain understanding in religion and warn their people when they return to them, so that they may take care. The commentaries carry the occasion together: after being reproached for staying behind, they all set out, and this came down.
مومنوں کے لیے مناسب نہیں کہ وہ سب کے سب اکٹھے نکل کھڑے ہوں۔ ان میں سے ہر گروہ سے ایک جماعت نکلنی چاہیے، تاکہ وہ دین کی سمجھ حاصل کریں اور واپس لوٹنے پر اپنی قوم کو خبردار کریں تاکہ وہ بچ کر رہیں۔ تفسیر یہ موقع بھی اکٹھا بتاتی ہے: جب پیچھے رہ جانے پر انہیں ملامت کی گئی اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے ایک دستہ روانہ کیا تو سب کے سب نکل کھڑے ہوئے، تب یہ حکم نازل ہوا۔
