إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ وَأَقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَى ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَلَمْ يَخْشَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ فَعَسَىٰٓ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَن يَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ
The mosques of God are tended only by those who believe in God and the Last Day, and establish the prayer, and give the zakat, and fear no one but God. The commentaries take the tending together as the whole of it: the building and the repairing, the sweeping and the lighting, and the coming to them for worship and for learning. It may be that those are the ones who are guided.
اللہ کی مسجدوں کو صرف وہی لوگ آباد کرتے ہیں جو اللہ اور یوم آخرت پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں، نماز قائم کرتے ہیں، زکوٰۃ دیتے ہیں، اور اللہ کے سوا کسی سے نہیں ڈرتے۔ تفسیر بتاتی ہے کہ آبادی سے مراد اس کی ہر شکل ہے: تعمیر اور مرمت، صفائی اور روشنی کا انتظام، اور عبادت اور تعلیم کے لیے وہاں حاضر ہونا۔ امید ہے کہ یہی لوگ ہدایت یافتہ ہیں۔
