عَفَا ٱللَّهُ عَنكَ لِمَ أَذِنتَ لَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكَ ٱلَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا۟ وَتَعْلَمَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ
God has pardoned you. Why did you give them leave before it had become clear to you who was telling the truth, and before you knew the liars? The commentaries note the order of it together: the pardon is put first, to settle his heart, and the reproach comes after it.
اللہ نے آپ کو معاف فرما دیا۔ آپ نے انہیں اجازت کیوں دی، اس سے پہلے کہ آپ پر یہ واضح ہو جاتا کہ کون سچ بول رہا ہے، اور آپ جھوٹوں کو پہچان لیتے؟ تفسیر بتاتی ہے کہ اس کی ترتیب یوں ہے: پہلے معافی کا ذکر کیا گیا تاکہ آپ ﷺ کا دل مطمئن ہو جائے، اور اس کے بعد ملامت آئی۔
