إِنَّمَا ٱلصَّدَقَٰتُ لِلْفُقَرَآءِ وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينِ وَٱلْعَٰمِلِينَ عَلَيْهَا وَٱلْمُؤَلَّفَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَفِى ٱلرِّقَابِ وَٱلْغَٰرِمِينَ وَفِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱبْنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ فَرِيضَةً مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
The zakat is for the poor and the needy, and those who work to collect it, and those whose hearts are to be brought round, and for freeing necks from bondage, and the debtors, and in the way of God, and the traveller. This is laid down by God, and God knows all and is Wise.
زکوٰۃ صرف فقیروں اور مسکینوں کے لیے ہے، اور ان لوگوں کے لیے جو اسے جمع کرنے پر مامور ہیں، اور ان کے لیے جن کے دلوں کو مانوس کرنا مقصود ہو، اور گردنیں غلامی سے آزاد کرانے کے لیے، اور قرض داروں کے لیے، اور اللہ کی راہ میں، اور مسافر کے لیے۔ یہ اللہ کی طرف سے مقرر کردہ ایک فریضہ ہے، اور اللہ سب کچھ جاننے والا، کامل حکمت والا ہے۔
