أَلَمْ يَأْتِهِمْ نَبَأُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَقَوْمِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَأَصْحَٰبِ مَدْيَنَ وَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَٰتِ أَتَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
Has the news of those before them not reached them: the people of Noah, and Ad, and Thamud, the people of Abraham, the dwellers of Midian, and the towns that were overturned, which were the towns of Lot's people? Their messengers came to them with clear proofs. God did not wrong them; it was themselves they wronged.
کیا انہیں ان لوگوں کی خبر نہیں پہنچی جو ان سے پہلے تھے: قوم نوح، عاد، ثمود، قوم ابراہیم، اہل مدین، اور وہ بستیاں جو الٹ دی گئیں یعنی قوم لوط کی بستیاں؟ ان کے پاس ان کے رسول کھلی نشانیاں لے کر آئے۔ اللہ نے ان پر ظلم نہیں کیا، بلکہ وہ خود اپنے آپ پر ظلم کرتے رہے۔
