وَلَا تُصَلِّ عَلَىٰٓ أَحَدٍ مِّنْهُم مَّاتَ أَبَدًا وَلَا تَقُمْ عَلَىٰ قَبْرِهِۦٓ إِنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَمَاتُوا۟ وَهُمْ فَٰسِقُونَ
And never pray over any one of them who dies, and do not stand at his grave. The commentaries carry the practice this cancels together: he used to stand a while at the grave after the burial and pray for the dead man. They refused God and His Messenger, and died having left obedience.
اور ان میں سے جو کوئی مر جائے اس کی کبھی نماز جنازہ نہ پڑھیں، اور نہ اس کی قبر پر کھڑے ہوں۔ تفسیر بتاتی ہے کہ اس عمل سے مراد وہی طریقہ ہے جو آپ ﷺ دفن کے بعد قبر پر کچھ دیر کھڑے ہو کر میت کے لیے دعا کیا کرتے تھے۔ بے شک انہوں نے اللہ اور اس کے رسول کا انکار کیا، اور وہ نافرمانی کی حالت میں مرے۔
