أَوْ إِطْعَٰمٌ فِى يَوْمٍ ذِى مَسْغَبَةٍ
Or feeding, on a day of hunger. The commentaries gloss the day as one of severe famine, so that the feeding falls exactly where it is hardest to give and most needed.
یا بھوک کے دن کھانا کھلانا، یعنی ایسے دن جس میں سخت قحط اور فاقہ ہو اور کھانا نایاب ہو۔ اس دن کا خاص ذکر اس لیے ہوا کہ ایسے وقت میں دینا نفس پر سب سے زیادہ بھاری اور اجر میں سب سے بڑا ہے۔ یعنی اصل اعتبار مال کی مقدار کا نہیں، ضرورت کے وقت اسے ہاتھ سے نکالنے کی مشکل کا ہے۔
