وَأَنتَ حِلٌّۢ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ
And you, Muhammad, are dwelling in this city. The commentaries take the weight of the oath from the Prophet's own presence there: the city is honoured by the one who is living in it.
یہ جملہ قسم اور اس کے جواب کے درمیان معترضہ ہے، اور اس میں خطاب نبی ﷺ سے ہے۔ ”حِلّ“ کا مادہ حرمت کے مقابل حلال ہونے کا ہے، یعنی بات اسی پر ہے کہ اس بلدِ حرام میں آپ ﷺ کے حق میں کیا حلال ہے اور کیا حرام۔ شہر کی قسم کے فوراً بعد اس میں آپ ﷺ کے مقام کا ذکر خود اس شہر کے شرف میں مزید اضافہ ہے۔
